  Renewable Resources and Solar Rebates
Empire does not currently offer rebates for solar installations by customers. All services offered by Empire must be in accordance with its tariffs on file with the Missouri Public Service Commission ('MoPSC'), and Empire does not have a tariff governing solar rebates. By 2009, Empire was purchasing or generating at least 15% of its electricity from renewable resources, and the MoPSC determined that Empire was exempt from the solar requirements of Proposition C. The issue is currently before the Missouri Supreme Court. Once there is a final decision from the court, the issue will be back before the MoPSC. Empire will take whatever steps may be necessary to comply with the decisions of the court and the MoPSC, and Empire will make an announcement if it begins to offer solar rebates
